There were mixed reactions when the Ampang Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH) decided to allow motorcyclist to use it. This is to lighten the burden of the lower income group due to the petrol price hike. Apart from the physical reason where there is no more space to widen the lane due to the close proximity of the office building, this after-thought makes the motorcycle lane remains very narrow as you approach the toll gate. It makes you wonder wether this is deliberate as we are made to believe that the lower income group can only afford small bikes like the 'kapchai' and scooters.
What about the bigger bikes. Are they made to be punished for being able to afford them?
Take a deep breadth cause the lane becomes narrower as you approach the toll gate
Ok, slow down, place one leg on the kerb and the other on the road. Make sure you don't get nicked by the rails
You almost there, watch the metal grill, steady now off you go. Congratulations, you pass !
Footnote: the talent on the bike was paid Nasi Padang at Restaurant Garuda near Chow Kit.

Haha worth the Nasi Padang!
Akleh should've widen it a bit for big bike.
In the song Ayam den Lapeh - Luruih lah jalan Payakumbuh. Ini pula Akleh jalan sempit pun we'll find ways to have that 'sambal lado' hehe.
i always think there is a conspiracy against law abiding big bikers. besides 100% taxes on new and not so new imported big bikes, akleh, toll plazas and the likes of the designers of the motor cycle lanes along the federal highway know how to (mis)treat us. Since we don't pay toll. CAN YOU KIRA!
i got my vespa stuck there!Dah la lorong sempit...mai pulak bas besaq himpit kat lorong ujung tu!Tak sempat nak "rempit"....dah ter"sepit"....Akleh really bikin darah meleleh....
kah kah kah firwan, but you made it through safely. Bukan kah 'AKLEH' itu short for 'AKU BOLEH'
memang betoi akleh boleh. i did it again yesterday. somehow it was easier the second time (like everything else lah). had to do it because the rain was coming ....and no raincoat.
